The Enneagram’s Instinctual Variant

Self-preservation is a subtype of self-preservation.
The self-preservation type of instinct is focused on basic survival needs. Those with this type are worried about money, housing and health as well as physical security. They may also be worried about food and comfort. This type of person is also likely to be concerned with the cleanliness and comfort of a space. They are the first ones to notice issues in the room.
Self-preservation is the most dominant instinctual drive. If this drive isn’t in sync with other instinctual drives, it is often viewed as a threat to one’s security. This can lead people to have misperceptions about one’s personality index and a need to seek counseling and therapy. The self-preservation subtype views the mate as an essential aspect of ensuring security, and thus experiences anxiety if they don’t find one.
Instinctual types can exhibit a variety behaviors. Self-preservation is associated with security and vigilance and also aggression. These behaviors are designed to preserving self and the group. They are linked to group achievements and hierarchies.
Social instinctual people seek an identity and pdb social standing. These people are more likely to seek out groups if they’ve had a good childhood. They are also more likely than others to be interested in philanthropy. They also are more likely to be irritable with people who are comfortable discussing food or decor for their homes.

Type Eight
The Type Eight instinctual variant combines the love for life with the drive for material security. The people who have this type of personality have a an intense desire to protect their family and friends. They are determined and competitive with lots of energy and a strong appetite. Their physical presence is unmistakable, and they are never shy to assert their authority. They are practical and hardworking with a keen desire to dominance.
This instinctual variant combines the desire of the Eight with the ferocity of sexual desire to create a wildly ambitious and charismatic personality database. This makes it hard for an Eight to part with their possessions that are material. This is why they are more inclined to engage in political activities. They are less aggressive than the other subtypes, but they are equally likely to oppose a leader of the group.
Self-pre/sexual eight is another instinctual variant of Type Eight. They feel a need to “hook” an individual and are more likely to be suspicious of people. This makes it difficult to control their impulses and can lead to unhealthy relationships. In these relationships, eights are more likely to become jealous or possessive and become addicted to their partner. These behaviors can lead spousal abuse.
A Type Eight is more expressive and compassionate than the typical two in this instinctual form. The eight still wants to be loved. being loved, but it seeks love in the same way that an integrated two does, which is by being caring for other people. This instinctual variant has a large heart and is eager to express love and show it in tangible ways.
Type Five
Type Five is the opposite of Type Four, and it is deeply emotional. It tends to connect to its inner world through expressive art, Instinctual Variant and connects with others through ideas. It is also searching for ultimate knowledge and truth. It also seeks meaning. This instinctual form of thinking is associated with specific subtypes, however, it can also be used separately.
Type Eight is associated to the Passion of Lust. It is driven by a desire to enjoy the moment to its maximum extent and often uses force to meet its Dominant Instinct requirements. These self-centered Eights are often exaggerated in their obsession with autonomy. This instinctive version can also feel lonely and angry.
Type Twos project their needs onto others. They are usually seeking approval and affection from others. But, their neediness stops them from building strong relationships. Although they are a traditional provider, they are extremely self-conscious of their appearance. They are less trusting and afraid than the other subtypes.
The sexual one’s natural instinct is to seek out a loved or beloved. They were told they were beautiful and desirable as children. Their parents advised them to believe they could attract a lover. They believed that in order to attract a partner, one had to be physically and sexually active.
The self-pres/social stacking subtype is similar to the self-pres/self-pres subtype in many ways, such as the necessity of maintaining a clean environment. They are also interested in attracting a mate and are concerned about their sexuality. They might also have conflicting relationships with certain groups or have a strong opinion about politics or social issues.
Type Six
Each type of Enneagram has an instinctual variation. Subtypes of the instinctual can be determined by the type’s driving emotional energy. They are the reason why people who belong to a type could be different. Each of the nine types is distinguished by three distinct instinctual variations. Each of these subtypes differs from the basic type in different ways.
Type Six is marked by extreme self-reflection. This is a strong instinct that seeks security in relationships. They are attracted to the security of close-knit relationships and value tradition and family. They can be contradictory however, the subtype brings faith and the ability to trust the world.
The Intimate Six is often in conflict with the Self-preservation Six. They are susceptible to jealousy and possess both male and female attributes. Intimate Sixes could seek out partners who are more sexually active than them. They might also try to impress their partners by appearing as strong and confident as they are. They may even focus on appearance.
The Sexual Six is the least visible of the Six subtypes. However it is the most feared. These people are afraid of being abandoned , and they build many friendships because of their fear of rejection. They also radiate warmth and tenderness as well as peace, but their real emotions are driven by the fear of losing security. The SP Six feels the need for “good” and keep from alienating others.
The Sexual Sixes often act against perceived danger. They may appear to be risk-takers, rebels or troublemakers. They could even show hero complexes.
Type Seven
Type Seven is an instinctual variation that exhibits intense energy, extreme behavior, and material success. This subtype is characterized by the self-preservation instinct that can make them successful, but also a bit dependent. They need direct feedback and the opportunity to process their feelings. They may need some time to take in the feedback they receive, and may need some help from others to achieve their goals.
The Eight instinctual variation is more softer than the subtype of self-preservation/social. This subtype, despite showing traits of self-preservation and social abilities, Instinctual Variant is more focused on the dynamics of groups. They are charismatic and lively. They are sometimes confused with Sevens and sometimes manipulate and con people using their interpersonal awareness.
The Sexual Seven is a strong comedian with a keen sense for humor. Although their sexuality is normal and normal, they don’t care about having sex, and instead focus on the ideal relationship they imagine having with someone. It can be a great way to have fun, but it can also make intimacy seem unsafe for Sevens.
The self-pres/sexual type has many characteristics in common with other types, but is a distinct one. The Seven desires to be a part of everything and can become discontent when life becomes dull. It can be frustrating when others don’t like them. This type can also be more intense and may engage in dark, nihilistic thinking.
Sevens can easily become too dependent on their romantic partners. They might become clingy but they don’t want to lose their independence. Sevens are extremely selfish when they are in unhealthy relationships. Their relationships are often focused on their personal needs.
