Businesses near 924 S. State Street in Yadkinville have been evacuated Monday morning due to a reported gas leak. The leak came from equipment at Little Richards, said Yadkinville Fire Chief Jody Doss.
As of 11 a.m., Doss said the leak was contained. Maintenance crew members from the restaurant and the gas company remain on the scene repairing the equipment. Doss said the restaurant was expected to reopen this afternoon.
