Alderoty’s contributions toward pushing for clear crypto regulations have been recognized.

The contributions of Stuart Alderoty, Ripple’s General Counsel, to the cryptocurrency industry have not gone unnoticed over the years.

Alderoty has been instrumental in the legal battle between Ripple and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as the blockchain company pushes for clearer crypto regulations in the United States.

The Information’s Top Legal Experts

Following Alderoty’s efforts in crypto, The Information added him among the top 10 individuals working to shape how the cryptocurrency industry would be regulated.

The list comprises legal execs hired by blockchain and crypto-related companies to ensure compliance with government laws. Other top legal execs on the list include OpenSea’s Loni Mahanta, FTX’s Mark Wetjen, Circle’s Dante Disparte, Digital Currency Group (DCG), and Julie Stitzel.

Alderoty Honors the Achievement

Celebrating the achievement, Alderoty took to Twitter to express gratitude to Ryan, a reporter of The Information covering crypto, for considering him worthy of being on the top cryptocurrency legal experts list.

According to Ripple’s General Counsel, while the global cryptocurrency industry is growing at a fast pace, the United States seems to be stuck due to regulatory issues.

Notably, unclear crypto regulations have hampered the growth of the industry’s innovation in the United States.

“I hope everyone (yes, you too Mr. Hinman) on this list works together to make things right,” Alderoty added.

Meanwhile, attorney James K. Filan also took time out to congratulate Alderoty on the milestone.

His Contributions to Ripple and Crypto

It is not surprising to see Alderoty on the list, given his enormous contributions to Ripple in its legal fight against the SEC

Instead of settling with the SEC or accepting any false charges filed against it by the commission, Ripple chose to go through with the lawsuit as it aims to seek favorable regulations for the entire crypto space.

Ripple is confident that it will win the case against the SEC based on the expertise of its legal team led by Alderoty.

While the case is still ongoing, Ripple has recorded major wins so far, including compelling the SEC to surrender drafts of the William Hinman 2018 speech
