DMG Blockchain Solutions (DMGGF) Shares Rise 10% Following Appointments of New CFO and Corporate Secretary

What’s going on with DMG Blockchain Solutions?

DMG Blockchain Solutions (DMGGF) stock gained 10.58% after the Canadian vertically integrated blockchain and cryptocurrency technology company appointed Heather Sim as chief financial officer and John Kim as corporate secretary. Sim replaces Ryan Cheung, who held both roles. 

Both join DMG from Vancouver-based ACM Management Inc., an accounting firm that provides financial reporting assistance to public companies. DMGGF shares were trading at $1.15 per share on Wednesday morning. 

What does this mean for DMGGF?

The new leadership appointments appear to sit well with investors, who perceive the company as being on a solid path forward.

Sim, a CPA with previous experience working in public audit who currently assists public companies navigate regulatory markets in Canada and the U.S., has led DMG’s public reporting for the last two years. Her appointment represents a “natural progression,”  the company announced in a news release.

Kim has more than 23 years of experience, starting as a securities paralegal at various law firms and then as a corporate secretary with a number of public companies listed on the TSX and TSX-V. 

The company also announced that CEO Sheldon Bennett is scheduled to present at virtual conferences next week, including third quarter Investor Summit on Aug. 17-18 and at SNN Network Summer Virtual Event Investor Conference, Aug. 17-19.
