BIG joins forces with crypto exchange Coinbase

Berlin International Gaming (BIG), a German esports organisation, has announced a partnership with Coinbase, a global bitcoin exchange.

Coinbase will become a partner of BIG’s CSGO roster as part of the arrangement, predicated on producing digital activations through community participation.

Sascha Rangoonwala, German Divison Manager, commented: “Crypto and esports are both industries with a huge amount of potential and are constantly evolving. Partnering with Germany’s leading esports organisation helps us more effectively reach as well as educate digital natives around the benefits and risks of cryptocurrency.”

According to the press announcement, the collaboration is solely between BIG and Coinbase’s German division.

Coinbase will receive a significant brand and content rights package in addition to the premium partnership with BIG’s CS:GO squad. The goal of this package is to increase awareness of Coinbase’s brand and services.

Coinbase is a cryptocurrency exchange that allows customers to purchase and sell a variety of cryptocurrencies. Coinbase Germany GmbH received a licence for crypto custody and training from the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) less than a month ago, allowing the business to provide a safe and regulated environment for its German consumers.

Daniel Finkler, BIG’s CEO, added: “Today we can welcome Coinbase, one of the world’s leading crypto exchange platforms, as a partner”

“The world of cryptocurrencies is an enormously exciting space, and it’s my ambition to make more people aware of this rapidly growing ecosystem with all its benefits and risks through our partnership. We are very excited to start our partnership officially today.”
