Cryptocurrency prices rebounded strongly on Wednesday after going through a correction a day ago. Prices of all cryptocurrencies jumped sharply with Bitcoin, the world’s most popular cryptocurrency, leading from the front.
Bitcoin was up over $40,100 at around 3:55 pm, up nearly 8 per cent compared to its price 24 hours ago. The virtual coin’s market capitalisation also crossed $750 billion.
Ether also performed well as it gained nearly 4 per cent and traded at over $2,300. The virtual coin’s market capitalisation has increased to $269.63. Other altcoins like Cardano, XRP, Stellar, Dogecoin, Chainlink, Polkadot and Litecoin also performed well.

While the entire virtual coin market witnessed higher volatility on Tuesday, it seems that buying momentum has again increased. Experts feel that cryptocurrencies may rise further before another consolidation.
Commenting on the strong momentum, Edul Patel, CEO and Co-founder of Mudrex, a global algorithm based crypto trading platform, “We are witnessing a solid buying momentum across the cryptocurrency markets.”
“After consolidating for some time, the markets are now inching closer towards their highs for the day. Bitcoin went past the $40,000 mark, before facing a pullback,” he added.
“The largest Altcoin, Ethereum, went past the $2300 level. The star performer of the day was, however, the crypto gaming token, Axie Infinity or AXS. It shot up more than 16% and was the third-highest traded crypto after BTC and ETH.”
