  • Amazon.com Inc. reported its sales for its online stores totaled $53.2 billion in the second quarter, up 16% year-over-year. Physical-store sales rose 11% to $4.2 billion.
  • Cryptocurrency-payments processor BitPay Inc. said it now supports Litecoin in the BitPay Wallet app. Newegg.com is the first merchant to accept Litecoin through BitPay. Litecoin is the 13th-largest digital currency, with a market capitalization of $9.1 billion, according to Coinmarketcap.com.
  • Financial Data Exchange LLC appointed payments-industry veteran Jason Chomik director of its Canadian operations. FDX is a trade group working on application programming interface specifications for open banking.
