(Kovach), 77, Daytona Beach, Florida, native of Windber, went to be with the Lord, February 24, 2021 in Florida. Born June 17, 1943 in Windber. Daughter of Andrew and Ann (Patrick) Kovach. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Thomas A. Kovach and Dennis J. Kovach and sister, Andrea Kovach; and nephew, Nevin Hostetter. Survived by son, Craig Ripple, Florida and daughter, Darlene (Ripple) wife of Ron Jardine, Virginia; grandchildren, Olivia, Ryan and Henry. Also survived by brother, Robert E. Kovach and wife, Cynthia (Roman), Florida and sister, Georgiann, wife of Keith Knepper, Markleton; sister-in-law, Linda Ann (Johnson) Kovach, Windber; and nieces and nephews, Cassandra, Hillary, Joshua, Bobby, Jason, Jennifer and Alyssa. Barbara was a 1961 graduate of Windber High School and served in the U.S Air Force. She worked for Piedmont Airlines and U.S. Air in Virginia. Barbara loved to travel and got to go to Egypt to see the pyramids, her favorite place. Barb also got to fly on the Concord to London. She loved dancing, reading, movies and taking walks on the beach. She will always live on through those she leaves behind and will be in our hearts forever. Friends will be received from 12 Noon until time of Funeral Mass at 1 p.m. on Friday April 9, 2021 at SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Windber. (Masks and Social Guidelines Required).
