Kemba Walker’s knee injury to have ripple effect on Celtics – The Athletic

Concerns about Kemba Walker’s injured knee will linger at least into the coming season after the Celtics released an update on his health Tuesday morning.

Walker, bothered by a left knee injury during the latter half of last season, received a stem cell injection after consulting with multiple specialists in early October. Walker is expected to miss at least the start of the regular season later this month. His status will be updated during the first week of January.

Walker should be able to return to on-court activities in early December. In his absence, the Celtics will start the season short-handed, with their All-Star point guard’s health concerns looming as a possible long-term issue.

How troubling is this news?
