Blockchain Center of Excellence to Host Free Virtual Conference

The Blockchain Center of Excellence at the Sam M. Walton College of Business is hosting technology, industry and academic experts to share on Blockchain and related topics at the third annual 2020 Blockchain for Business Virtual Conference from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 1-2.

This year’s conference theme is “Creating the Internet of Value.” The term Internet of Value was coined by one of the keynote speakers, Alex Tapscott, along with his father and partner, Don Tapscott. They wrote a book in 2016 called Blockchain Revolution, and what they laid out with the Internet of Value is a long-term vision of everyone being able to exchange value on the internet with the ease with which they share information today.

Attendees will not only learn from world-class leaders, who are creating the Internet of Value, but have the opportunity to connect in unique one-to-one video calls and chats with fellow participants and sponsoring companies using the virtual conferencing platform called Brella.io. Brella is a world leader in online events and offers unique attendee experiences like intent-based networking recommendations using Artificial Intelligence. Together, they will explore how decentralized information and value exchange online is transforming real businesses today.

The event is free and open to the public. Go to blockchain.uark.edu/conference-3 to see the full list of conference speakers, highlights from our previous conferences, and RSVP for the 2020 conference.
