Dorsett Technologies in Yadkinville celebrated the retirement of one its longtime employees last week.

“David Hutchens served 31 years with Dorsett Technologies and spent much of his life helping build the foundation upon which the company will grow into the future,” said Adam Anderson, VP of Sales and Marketing for Dorsett. “His contributions to the Dorsett family made him a mentor, friend, and an example to follow to all of the Dorsett Team. David is loved and respected by his friends, coworkers, and customers. He will be greatly missed and always considered family here at Dorsett.”

A socially distant celebration was held for Hutchens at the Yadkin Memorial Park with his friends and family in attendance.

“His career was celebrated and stories were told which honored David’s service and positive influence during his time at Dorsett,” Anderson said.

“Dorsett will be a little less bright without David’s presence each day, but his retirement is well earned and well deserved. Everyone at Dorsett wishes David happiness and good fortune in his retirement,” said Anderson.
