BOONVILLE — Due to COVID, the 2020 high school spring season was cut short. Many high school seniors now had time on their hands which they did not have before. Starmount senior, and now alumnus, K.G White allowed the Elkin Tribune to get to know her during the quarantine. White is a class of 2020 graduate and will be attending Surry Community College to play softball.

1. What’s your favorite food?

KG: Grapes

2. What’s your favorite subject in school?

KG: Biology

3. Who’s had the most influence in your life?

KG: My travel coach Ray Stout

4. What kind of music do you enjoy?

KG: Anything alternative

5. What’s your favorite TV show?

KG: American Horror Story

6. What’s your favorite movie?

KG: The Spectacular Now

7. What’s the best book you’ve read?

KG: Water for Elephants

8. If you could have one superpower, what would it be?

KG: To stop time

9. What’s your favorite sport?

KG: Softball

10. What’s special about the place you grew up?

KG: Most of my family lives near me so it’s easy to visit them

11. What are you most likely to become famous for?

KG: Being a comedic genius

12. What are you looking forward to in the next few months?

KG: Hopefully things opening back up so I can have a fun summer

13. Where do you usually go on vacation?

KG: Normally the beach

14. What’s your motivation before each game?

KG: Mainly my dad’s pep talks when he brings me a water before the game starts

15. What’s the hardest lesson you’ve learned?

KG: Success doesn’t come easy, if you want something you have to give 100%

16. What do you like most about your family?

KG: They always support me no matter what I do

17. Who is your favorite athlete and why?

KG: Alex Morgan. I’ve always looked up to her because you can tell the amount of effort she’s put in to get where she is today and I really respect that.
