This is where you come in. You are excited about working on a completely cross functional team oriented around areas of the product. You want to help lay the foundation that a world-class team is built on. You enjoy collaboration and have experience weighing trade-offs to come to the best solution as a group. You want to be in an environment that is growing quickly and are somebody who is constantly learning and evolving. What you’ll be doing: Design improvements to our existing product by thinking from first principles and focusing on our customer’s needs. Turn design ideas into features that scale to millions of users by working closely with engineers on client and backend teams. Take pride in quality – test, track, and monitor features that you ship to our customers and proactively fix issues that crop up. Work with engineers, product managers, designers, and senior leadership to turn our vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter. What we look for in you: You have at least 5 years of experience in software engineering. You’ve designed, built, scaled and maintained production services, and know how to compose a service oriented architecture. You write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers. You’re comfortable operating in a dynamic, self-directed environment You’re passionate about building an open financial system that brings the world together . Nice to Haves: You also know how to, or want to, develop on Ruby on Rails. You have experience decomposing a large monolith into microservices. You’ve worked with Ruby, Rails, Golang, Docker, Postgres, and/or MongoDB You’ve built financial, high reliability or security systems.
