Suspect arrested in Booger Swamp break-in

A Yadkinville man was arrested after two calls from a home on Booger Swamp Road reporting a breaking and entering. Yadkin County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the home twice on July 28 in reference to a breaking and entering in progress but were unable to locate a suspect at that time. Through video surveillance provided by the homeowners, deputies identified Osvaldo Salas Ramirez, age 20. According to the Sheriff’s Office other evidence was found at the scene which allegedly linked Ramirez to the crime.

Ramirez was arrested without incident on July 29 at at a residence on Siloam Rd. in East Bend. Ramirez was charged with felony attempted breaking and/or entering. He is currently being held in the Yadkin County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond. Ramirez was scheduled to appear in Yadkin County court on Aug. 4.

This case is under further investigation and additional charges are pending.
